The Fog

This journal is probably devoid of any useful update or contents (I did warn you about this!) but I figured, if I'm going to write anything, I might as well post it on my own site with my own dot com, right?

So Montreal, or at least all of the west of Montreal as well as off the island has been misting over for quite a few nights now. The days are only slightly drizzly and has left us ambiguously half-damp for some time.

Photography related, I felt that it would be a great idea to take some pictures of a park nearby my house, where there was a children's playground and an "International Soccer Field" (that term was imprinted into me from back when I used to play inter-city. WHY it was called that, I still don't know.) were situated.

Long story short, there were a lot of huge lights held on very high beams, not unlike the ones you'd see on football fields. The drizzle was capturing and reflecting the light coming from the beams and in short, the place was a lot brighter than on any ordinary evening. Needless to say, I was very intrigued by the tone and the shadowy effects this created on the playgrounds and trees. I got curious, and went and snapped a few shots. I somewhat regret not getting close enough because I had wanted to shoot the entire scenery from a distance, but I guess I was just tired from having just worked and didn't consider it.

As for the results of the shots, I'm not fully satisfied - although it is definitely something I can learn from and adjust and do better with in the future, should the opportunity ever arise again.

Perhaps if I feel that one or two pictures are worthy to be shown, they... or it, might pop up in the gallery. Who knows.

In other recent events, as you can see, I have posted some pictures of a Bar Mitzvah that I was asked to attend back in October, both as a guest and as a photographer.
